These accusations continued until Kosmic did a collab with Karl Jobst, making a video on Jobst’s channel exposing how Badabun faked the speedrun. Because the video got millions of views before it was exposed as fake, people began to assume that Kosmic “stole” a part of Badabun’s run. In this video, they spliced runs together to make a fake speedrun, one of which was Kosmic’s run. On December 17, 2017, the Mexican YouTube Channel Badabun posted a now infamous video: Pasando Super Mario en 5 minutos. He has done majority of world records on games, most consist of SMB or SMB2:J.Ĭontroversy Kosmic "Stealing" Runs Kosmic started his channel on 2009 but didn’t post anything until Augwhere he uploaded a quality test and then went onto uploading glitches and tricks for games, he later on went towards streaming Super Mario speedruns on Twitch.
